History

Tri-State Family Services has been in existence since 1991 when some concerned Christians responded to the growing problem of abortion.  A board was formed, a director hired, and in 1992 our doors were opened to women in crisis pregnancies.  The staff saw 25 new clients in 1992.

In 2009, 76 new clients were served; repeat clients returned 748 times for a total of 834 client contacts.  While some of our clients come seeking alternatives to abortion, many of our clients are people who are simply seeking help to raise their families through the resources we offer.

Much of the increase in clientele can be attributed to the new crib and mattress that are given in exchange for a client taking their choice of five Biblically-based parenting classes.  In 2009, 32 clients earned new cribs and mattresses by taking five parenting classes (Classes for Living).
