Tri-State Family Services
The place to find a friend
Tri-State Family services has been in existence since 1991 when some concerned Christians responded to the growing problem of abortion. A board was formed, a director hired, and in 1992 our doors were opened to women in crisis pregnancies. The staff saw 25 new clients in 1992.
Tri-State Family Services is a Christ-centered ministry committed to upholding the sanctity of human life and maintaining the family by demonstrating the love of Christ to others through spiritual, physical, emotional and educational support and by sharing the Gospel.

Tri-State Family Services is an out reach ministry of Jesus Christ through His church. Therefore, TSFS, embodied in its volunteers, is committed to presenting the gospel of our Lord to all those who request our services-both in word and in deed. Commensurate with this purpose, those who labor as TSFS board members, directors, and volunteers are expected to know Christ as their Savior and Lord.
TSFS is committed to providing all who seek our services with accurate and complete information.
TSFS is committed to assisting people by providing emotional support and practical assistance. TSFS never discriminates in providing services because of the race, creed, color, national origin, age, or marital status of its clients.
TSFS never advises, provides, or refers for abortion or abortifacient, nor does it engage in contraceptive counseling or in referring for contraceptives or contraceptive services. (Married women seeking contraceptive information will be urged to seek counsel, along with their husbands, from their pastor and physician.
TSFS offers assistance free of charge at all times.
TSFS is committed to creating awareness within the local community of the services that we provide.
TSFS recognizes the validity of adoption as one alternative to abortion, but is not biased toward adoption when compared to other life-saving alternatives. TSFS is independent of adoption agencies, relating to them in the same manner as to other helpful referral sources. TSFS receives no payments of any kind from these agencies, does not enter into contractual relationships with them, and does not share combined office space. Adoption agencies are not established under the auspices of TSFS. TSFS neither initiates nor facilitates independent adoptions.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in HIs sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential and that this salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and not as a result of good works.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and to perform good works.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Since TSFS has only a few paid staff members, the many people who keep the doors open are volunteers whom God has called to this ministry. They answer the phone, wash, sort and display clothing, mow the lawn, repair and maintain the facilities, organize and work at fundraisers, and are behind the scenes doing a number of different tasks as needed.
The volunteers listed on the right are those who have taken the volunteer training, filled out an application, have committed to volunteering for a minimum of four hours per week, and who are active as Counselors/Volunteers

All of the TSFS Board members are volunteers. They both direct the operations of both Tri-State Family Services and its ministry Chrysalis Shepherding Home. But it is not ALL fame for them. In addition to the many hours spent in board meetings, each regularly volunteers in several other capacities.
