  Tri-State Family Services, and its ministry, Chrysalis Shepherding Home, are funded by donations from individuals like yourself, and by donations from churches and businesses. 

  In addition, we receive income from the proceeds of fundraising activities such as our bi-annual yard/bake sales, our annual "Joy of Life" Banquet, and our annual "Day of Fun" Golf Outing.

  We accept non-governmental grants, but accept no governmental funding of any kind in order that we might freely share the gospel of Christ.

My name is Tom Jefferson and I am a board member at Tri-State Family Services.  This is a great local ministry that God has richly blessed for many years.  We are an independent ministry that is financed entirely by contributions from individuals, businesses, churches, and fundraisers.  Two years ago, the Printy family generously donated the old funeral home to the ministry.  This has allowed us to expand services such as family counseling, parenting classes, clothing and free food distribution, a teen center and more.  Sherry and Jason also give presentations at many tri-state area schools on the benefits, risks, and consequences of life’s most important choices.
Also we are operating the Chrysalis Home 24/7.  This Christ-centered facility provides troubled women a home where they participate in Bible studies, receive counseling, enjoy peace, security, and a time to draw close to God.   Several women have gone through this program and are finding that God has a life changing purpose and meaning for their lives.
I enjoy being involved in this ministry.  It is such a blessing to know that God can use my feeble efforts to make a difference in peoples’ lives.  We all need to find God’s purpose and meaning for our lives.
This year, despite the bad economy, the income to TSFS and CSH has continued to increase.  Unfortunately, expenses are increasing also.  With the larger facilities and expanded services, expenses are exceeding income by about $2,000 per month.
This is a responsible, viable ministry that always needs more volunteers and contributions.  Perhaps you, your family, your organization, or your church are looking for a new outreach.  Perhaps you need more tax deductions this year.  Perhaps you would consider us for a funeral memorial or even in your will.  Men, maybe you don’t know what to get your wife for Christmas. Consider making a donation to us in her name.  This is a great ministry and we covet your prayers and support.
