Ways to Earn Blessing Bucks at Tri-State Family Services (TSFS)
Be Responsible
- First time visit to Tri-State Family Services (TSFS)
- Keep a scheduled appointment at TSFS
- Be on time for a scheduled appointment at TSFS
- Call to cancel a scheduled appointment at TSFS at least 24 hrs in advance
- Counseling or talking with a volunteer at TSFS
- Earn “Discretionary” Blessing Bucks at TSFS
- Keep a Daily Planner (one time only – show us your planner)
Educate Yourself
- Attend any class at TSFS & earn BB (OR take five classes to earn a crib)
- Watch a video at TSFS and complete an evaluation
- Write a summary of a brochure from TSFS
- Watch an educational video at home and write a report
- Write a report from a website on parenting
- Listen to a specified radio program and write a report
- Read a pre-selected chapter from a book and write a report
- Stay in school during pregnancy through graduation
- Attend GED classes & earn your GED (bring verification)
- Earn college credit (show us your transcript or grade record)
- Attend an English as a Second Language (ESL) class (bring a signed note)
- Earn your CPR certificate (show us your CPR certificate)
- Get a library card (show us your card or book-check-out receipt)
Grow in Parenting Skills
- Take parenting classes at TSFS & earn BB (OR take five classes for a crib)
- Complete a Labor & Delivery class at the hospital ( bring a signed note )
- Pre-natal or immunizations or well-baby checkup (show record)
- Take your child to story hour at the library (bring note from librarian)
Grow Spiritually
- Take classes on God, Jesus, forgiveness, etc., at TSFS for BB (or 5 for crib)
- Attend Church (bring a program or note signed by pastor)
- Take a family member to church (add family attendance to pastor’s note)
- Take a friend to church (add friend’s attendance to pastor’s note )
- Serve in your church (bring a signed note)
- Help with a Vacation Bible School (bring a signed note)
- Go to a Christian Conference
- Go to a Christian Concert
- Follow a daily Bible reading program and give a brief oral report
- Attend Bible Study & complete worksheet or report
- Memorize and quote scripture to TSFS volunteer or staff
Serve Others
- Refer a new client to TSFS
- Help at TSFS / CSH Yard / Bake Sale (for Blessing Bucks only)
- Attend TSFS Volunteer Training
- Volunteer in the community (bring verification)
- Volunteer at your child’s school (bring verification)
Be Generous - Donate
- Donate Blood to the Red Cross (show us your Donor Card)
- Donate clean, un-stained, seasonal clothing to TSFS
- Donate clean, usable items to TSFS
- Donate used cell phones to TSFS
- Donate empty pop cans to TSFS (please do not smash them)
